Mr. and Mrs. Donald Richard Matthews, Jr. of Farmville, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Miss Brittany Lynn Matthews, of Farmville, to Mr. Bojan Mijatovic, of St. Petersburg, FL.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milan Mijatovic of St. Petersburg, FL. He is the grandson of Mrs. Milosava Lukic and the late Mr. Risto Lukic of Zenica, Bosnia, and Mrs. Anja Mijatovic and the late Mr. Bogdan Mijatovic of Zenica, Bosnia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Owen, of Littleton, NC, and the late Mrs. Libby Matthews of Hertford, NC, and the late Mr. Donald Richard Matthews, Sr. of Grandy, NC.

Miss Matthews is a 2007 graduate of Prince Edward County High School and 2011 graduate of Longwood University in Farmville. She is earning a master's degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education at the University of Florida. She plans to graduate in May 2013.

Mr. Mijatovic is a 2008 graduate of Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, FL. He has earned an associate of art's degree at St. Petersburg College and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology at the University of Central Florida.

The couple will exchange vows May 25, 2013, at Concord Baptist Church in Farmville. The Rev. Rick Caldwell will officiate at the ceremony.
