Milton Leon Skinner, 85

DECEMBER 18 – Milton Leon Skinner, 85, of Farmville passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of the late Lorraine Smith Skinner.

Born in Herndon, April 30, 1927, Mr. Skinner was the son of the late Robert and Helen Thompson Skinner. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, was retired as a detective with The Arlington County Police Department and was a member of the Arlington County Police Association.

He is survived by five daughters, Darlene Skinner (Jerry) of Spotsylvania, Beverly Foster (John) of Stem, NC, Sharalee Buck (Charles) of Farmville, Karen Scroggins of Las Vegas, NV and Donna Mirin, of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Robert Skinner of Farmville; seven grandchildren, Steven Cutter, Kathy Allen, Michael Wade, Angela Howdyshell, Jennifer Holmes, Ashley Scroggins and Brian Ullrich; three step-grandchildren, Tamara Foster, John Foster and David Buck and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 16 at Concord Baptist Church, Buckingham County. Interment followed in the church cemetery with military honors.
