CHESTERFIELD, December 6 – Nellie Owensbey Mallory, 88, of Farmville, passed away in Chesterfield on Monday, December 3, 2012. She was born in Sevierville, TN on October 10, 1924 to the late Armbus and Ada Peck Owensbey. She retired from the Longwood College housekeeping department.

She is survived by her sons, Garnett Mallory and wife, Renee and John Mallory and wife, Gail, both of Chesterfield; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 12 siblings.

Family will receive friends Friday, December 7, from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 7, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
