The Pregnancy Support Center of Southside Virginia will be hosting an Open House at their Farmville location on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1101 E. Third Street in Farmville. The hours of the Open House will be from 3 to 7 p.m.

The organization was formed 40 years ago and has served more than 5,000 clients from Prince Edward and the eight surrounding counties. The Pregnancy Support Center, a 501(c)3, has a Board of Directors, eight staff members, and over 40 volunteers. The organization is funded completely by the generosity of community members, local churches, and small businesses. The services provided by the organization are all given at no cost without financial requirement or screening. The locations offer a 24-hour helpline, self administered pregnancy testing, options counseling, prenatal, infant care, and parenting classes as well as material assistance. The Farmville location also offers limited obstetric ultrasounds.

During the open house, there will be door prizes that were provided by local restaurants as well as light refreshments served.
