Ruth B. Coffey Retired Postal Worker Dies April 20

APRIL 29 – Ruth Bradshaw Coffey went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2008. She was the widow of Ira C. Coffey. Born in Russell County, December 22, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William Clarence and Hattie C. Bradshaw.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan Coffey Hudgins of Buckingham; grandsons, Jamie C. McKaig of Richmond and Cody Hudgins of Buckingham; and sister, Edith B. Sykes of Richmond.

Mrs. Coffey was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church; retired from the US Post Office; and an avid country western square dancer.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Buckingham on Sunday, May 4, at 4 p.m. con-ducted by Pastor Jeff Worley.

Graveside service was held Wednesday, April 23, at the Buckingham Community Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Moore.
