Deacon Eugene Frederick Hicks, 80 of Rice, passed away Oct. 11. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m., at New Life Church, Farmville. Interment was in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Burkeville, Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family. 

Katherine Darlene Ferguson Bratcher, 73 formerly of Farmville, passed away Sept. 7. A celebration of life will be held in Farmville on Oct. 27 starting at 5 p.m. For location and additional information visit the website darlenebratcher.com .

David Charles Burke, 94 of Green Bay, passed away on Oct. 11. He was born Nov. 2, 1928 in New Jersey. Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.

Shirley Woodard Mayton, 66, formerly of Prospect, passed away Oct. 8. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., at the Minor B. Eggleston Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Peaks Baptist Church Cemetery. Carl U. Eggleston Funeral Establishment is serving the family.
