On behalf of the Buckingham Friends of the Library, the fundraising committee would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in our recent Wine & Cheese Gala event to benefit Buckingham's proposed new library. The evening included great food, many door prizes donated by area businesses and community members, a reading by a local author, a silent auction, and an opportunity to make a pledge to the building fund.

Our platinum level sponsors were Anderson Tire Co., Steger Insurance, and Farmers Bank of Appomattox and our silver level sponsors were Farmer's Foods and Herbert Maxey. Thanks to their generosity all expenses for the event were paid for and the fundraiser brought in a total $10,489.84 for our new library. Thank you one and all for a job well done.

Anyone wishing to make a donations or a pledge to the building fund may do so by making a check payable to the Buckingham Library Building Fund and mailing to 1140 Main Street, Dillwyn, VA 23936.
