The Gene Dixon Sr. Memorial Park, owned by the County of Buckingham and operated by the Buckingham Youth League, was recently named the June Community Pride Award Recipient. “For generations, families and guests have enjoyed this park for baseball and football,” said Chamber President Jordan Miles. “I’ve seen the improvements the county and the Youth League have made and the money and time they’ve invested, and I’m not only proud of where this park has been, but where it’s going with the expansion.” Pictured are, from left, Assistant Recreation Director Wendy Spivey, Buckingham County Administrator Karl R.
