Keel Austin Bishop, 78

DILLWYN, October 16 – Keel Austin Bishop, 78, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, October 14, 2012. He was born February 23, 1934 in Buckingham County to the late Samuel Winston and Viola Payne Bishop.

He is survived by two daughters, Doreen Smith of West Virginia and Jennifer Reynolds of Amelia; two sons, Daryl Bishop of Mechanicsville and Randy Bishop of Midlothian; sister, Olene Ragland of Madison Heights; brother, Dean Bishop of Richmond; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Doug Bishop, four sisters, Virginia Wilkerson, Fannie Bishop, Ruth Hoitt and Annie Bishop and five brothers, William, Earl, Melvin, Roy and Kenneth Bishop.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 17 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday (tonight), October 16, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
