FLORIDA, October 9 -Charles A. Borum, 74, of Pinellas Park. Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Hospice Woodside of Pinellas Park.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked in the funeral services and retired from J.R. Distributors. He was the former minister of music of the youth and the church organist at First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis J. Borum and his children, Phillip J. (Melissa), Carole A., John C., James C. (Bess) and Debra R.; five grandchildren, Ryan J., Justin C., Abigail C., Meghan E. and Morgan E.; brother, Thomas J. (Peggy) Borum; three sisters, Catherine L. Dunkum (Sandy), Laura E. Goldfoot (Arnold) and Gloria M. (Betsy) Golden; and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bessie Borum, four brothers, Albert Jr., Morgan J., Calvin S., Robert J. and a sister, Clara E. Borum.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 13 at First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, Pinellas Park.

The family asks that donations be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
