Aro Rickmond Overby, 79

KEYSVILLE, July 31 – Aro Rickmond Overby, 79, of Keysville, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She was born in Halifax County on September 13, 1932.
Ms. Overby was a devoted lifelong member of Ash Camp Baptist Church. She found joy in the music and friends at Philbeck's Music House, walking, crocheting, working in her yard, spending time with her family, and as we all know, enjoyed laughter. Although she endured many ups and downs, she continued to enjoy life to the fullest. She was known to special friends as “Sunshine.”
She is survived by her children, Danny Overby and wife, Julie; Dennis Overby and wife, Rita; Sandy Flynn and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Chase, Dustin, and Casey Flynn; sister, Edith Card; sister-in-law, Francis Rickmond and beloved nephews and niece.
Funeral services and burial were held Saturday, July 28 at Ash Camp Baptist Church.
