FARMVILLE – Governor Bob McDonnell has appointed Lacy Ward, Jr. to the Longwood University Board of Visitors.

Ward, the executive director of the R. R. Moton Museum, joins Farmville physician and Town Council member, Dr. Edward I. Gordon, on the university's governing body.

Ward will serve a four-year term.
