PAMPLIN, June 10 – Mrs. Juanita Barr Beckelhimer, 65, of Pamplin, died on Friday, June 6, 2008 in Richmond. She was born on February 15, 1943, the daughter of the late Noah and Lillie May Jamerson Barr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Beckelhimer, and brother, Noah William Barr.

Mrs. Beckelhimer is survived by two sons, William Hurst of Alberta, and Donnie Hurst of Cumberland; stepson, Carl Beckelhimer of Richmond; sister, Barbara Roark and husband, John of Cumberland; three step-grandchildren; three aunts, Mary Lee Jamerson of Farmville, Ruth Jamerson of Richmond, and Jane Barr Chapman of Farmville; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 11, at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home at 7 p.m. with a memorial service following in the chapel at 8 p.m.

Remembrances may be made in her memory to the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, where interment will be held on a later date; and also to the Prince Edward Rescue Squad.
