BUCKINGHAM – Spreading God's Gifts, a non-profit organization that helps those in need, is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, June 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Dillwyn
The late afternoon event will feature a BBQ dinner with Cole slaw, baked beans, chips, beverage, and dessert. Dinners will be available for take out or you can enjoy your meal at the church while listening to some great gospel music by Second Time Around, featuring Tommy Moore and Bob Estes.
Cost of the meal is a donation to help with the continuing good works of Spreading God's Gift. For more information, call (434)983-2269.
On Saturday, June 2, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., Heartland Outreach Ministries and Millbrook Country Corner are sponsoring a Cruise In at the store, which is located on Route 15 at Sheppards.
Five trophies will be awarded. From Mopar and motorcycles to classic and antique vehicles, this sounds like a great way to spend Saturday afternoon.
There will even be a creative class so you might want to get that supped-up lawnmower or golf-cart detailed and ready to roll. Whether you Cruise-In or walk-in, everyone is invited.
The NFL Club of Cumberland, the Dillwyn Curves Divas, and Citizens in Action are sponsoring a carwash on Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Advance Auto on Route 15 in Dillwyn.
You'll be able to get your car professionally detailed for a donation of any amount.
All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life-Buckingham, which is continuing its fundraising efforts through August.
If you are going sale-ing this weekend, you'll want to make a stop at the Church of the Nativity for its two-day Yard Sale.
The sale will be in full swing on Friday, June 1, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and, on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This sale will be held rain or shine. The Church of the Nativity is located on Route 60, across from Buckingham County High School.
The Buckingham County High School Class of 1992 will be celebrating its 20th Reunion on Saturday, August 4, from 6 to 11 p.m., at the Dillwyn Rescue Squad Building. Plans include an evening of good food, music, and lots of reminiscing.
Unfortunately, the reunion committee is having difficulty locating quite a few members of the class.

On Saturday, June 9, at 3 p.m., Mourners Valley Baptist Church is hosting a Rainbow Rally featuring a concert by the Gos-pel Jewel Singers. After the service, refreshments will be served.
Everyone is invited. Mourners Valley Baptist Church is located on Route 20, at 5341 South Constitution Route.
Maysville Baptist Church is hosting an Upward Soccer Camp beginning on June 18 through June 21, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day.
This camp is open to boys and girls in the first through sixth grade, based on the 2012-13 school year.

Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center is hosting Cloverbud Camp, a mini-camping experience for five to eight year-olds.
The overnight camp is scheduled for June 15-17 and space is still available.
Cloverbud Camp is designed to introduce children to the 4-H camping experience. There will be a trained volunteer leader for every five campers and a licensed E.M.T. will be in attendance during the entire weekend.
Cost is $85 for a weekend of fun-filled classes and activities, singing, swim time, game time, evening programs and a camp-fire.

Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department will host a Chicken BBQ on Sunday, June 10. The menu features one-half chicken, two sides, roll, beverage, and dessert, for an $8 donation per meal.
The chicken will be ready at 12 noon and meals can be eaten at the firehouse or packaged for take-out. On the day of the BBQ, orders may be phoned in after 10 a.m. by calling the firehouse's non-emergency number, 969-2317.
On Friday, June 15, at 7 p.m., the Toga Annual Community Benefit is hosting a night of 31 and Gift Card BINGO at the To-ga Firehouse. Cost is $20 for 20 rounds. Food will be available. Toga Firehouse is located on Route 24, in Downtown TOGA.
Held in memory of Freddy Perutelli, a man known for his great smile and big heart, proceeds from this benefit will be given to his wife Patti to help cover expenses incurred with his death.

The Curdsville Community Center is firing up the grills on Saturday, June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., to celebrate Father's Day.
This All You Can Eat Cook-Out will feature hotdogs, hamburgers, and all the fixin's.
The evening will also include a Dessert Auction and yes, there will be door prizes.
Cost is $10 per person for ages 13 and up; $6 for ages 6 to 12; and children five and under get to eat free.
Curdsville Community Center is located in the old Curdsville School, just off Route 15 on Route 633, School Road.
Historic Buckingham Incorporated is hosting Mahogany and Mink, a fine antiques, artifacts and collectibles swap and sale, on Saturday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Historic Village at Lee Wayside.
Admission will be a $5 per person donation to the Historic Village for its building projects. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. Food and beverages will be available.
