The Longwood Center for the Visual Arts hosted the 17th annual Community Achievement in the Arts awards on April 30. The awards recognize individuals and groups that have made significant and selfless contributions to the development of the visual, performing, or literary arts in the area. Pictured (L-R) are the 2012 award honorees: Parker and Jean Wheeler of Riverside Cafe; Tyrone Brooks for Theta Chi Fraternity; Angela Jackson, Deborah McClintock for the Woman's Club of Farmville; Ann and William Oppenhimer; and Eldridge Bagley.
