ARVONIA, May 13 – Walter A. (Waju) Chambers Jr., of Arvonia, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at his home. He was born October 16, 1918 in Buckingham County, the son of the late Walter A. Chambers Sr. and Minnie Pierce Chambers.

He was the retired owner and operator of Arvonia Radio and T.V. Shop for 35 years. A member of Stonwall Masonic Lodge #200, a member of Arvon Presbyterian Church, and was an avid reader.

Mr. Chambers is survived by his wife, Eunice Leonard Chambers; step-daughter, Bonnie J. Mann and husband, John of New Canton; step-son, David R. Jeffrey of New Canton; step-granddaughter, Katelyn Mann of New Canton; and a brother, James Pierce Chambers of Alexandria.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Arvonia Memorial Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

The family will receive friends Tuesday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
