The County of Buckingham has lifted the county-wide burn ban effective 9 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30. “Due to the recent rain and the forecast for more precipitation this weekend, I am suggesting we lift the burn ban,” said Buckingham County Administrator Karl Carter in an email. The ban went into effect Dec. 13, in response to conditions that were creating fire danger as a result of little to no rainfall this fall.
