Career Day will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at the John H. Daniel Campus of Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Workforce Development Center and is open to students, community members and faculty and staff.

This event offers a chance for everyone to learn about programs and opportunities in employment in the South Central area. Many of the SVCC prospective graduates are eager to get their careers started as soon as possible.

Area businesses that will be represented at Career Day are The Bank of Charlotte County, Care Med, Inc., At Work Services, American Builders, Chase City Health and Rehab, Team Nurse, Lunenburg Correctional Center, Southside Electric, Trinity Mission Health and Rehab of Farmville.

Prior to this event, SVCC is sponsoring Professional Development Events to include Resume Writing with Keith Williams from the Virginia Employment Commission and LaDelta Williams from the SVCC Comprehensive Learning Center on March 26 and 27 in Room 44 at 12:30 p.m.

A session on Interviewing with Confidence will be conducted by Dorothea Sizemore, director of Student Development Services, on April 4 and 5 in Room 44.
