MARCH 6 – Mary Louise Jackson, 90, of Farmville passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012. She was born June 7, 1921 in Burkeville to the late Homer and Mamie Shelton Yeatts. She is the widow of the late Douglas Edward Jackson Sr., whom she was married to for 55 years. She was a lifetime active member of Salem Methodist Church, and was the treasurer for approximately 50 years.

She is survived by her children, William E. “Buster” Jackson (Janette) of Appomattox, Douglas E. Jackson Jr. (Kaye) of Prospect, Robert L. Jackson (Barbara) of Appomattox and Emily Jackson Perkins and her late husband, Reuben of Farmville; two brothers, Herman Larry Yeatts (Alice) of Crewe and Homer H. Yeatts Jr. (Carolyn) of Farmville; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death her brothers, Roy, Bill and Howard Yeatts.

A funeral service was held Sunday, March 4 in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
