Hurt Urged On To Battle

Editor, The Herald:

I am responding to your editorial in last Friday’s Herald entitled, “Oops Or Even Worse.” You remind your readers that “our Congressman, Robert Hurt” voted to continue funding the National Institutes of Health despite the federal government shutdown.

I’m surprised that any supporter of Obamacare would choose to use an altruistic and important decision such as Congressman’s Hurt’s for political haymaking.

Doing what you have to in order to save the greatest number of lives is praiseworthy indeed. In military parlance, that’s called an “Op” (short for “Operation).

Lock and load, Congressman Hurt! Keep going with the battle plans! Ops, not Oops!
