An elderly man was held at gunpoint and robbed of roughly $6,000 as he left his home to make a bank deposit for his church Monday morning, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Cumberland Sheriff’s Office at 804-492-4120. The police are particularly interested in any tips regarding suspicious persons or a suspicious vehicle that may have been parked along Foster Hill Road between the times of 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
