Twin Lakes Announces Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following weekend events:

Friday, July 12, 6 p.m., “Family Game Night” – enjoy board games, card games, puzzles, and more: 8 p.m. “Make New Friends Campfire” – make new friends at the park, sing songs, hear stories and enjoy s’mores;

Saturday, July 13 11 a.m. “Wilderness Survival Hike – fun survival scenario hike, “get lost” then learn how to survive off nature, find the way back all in just an hour, meet at the Interpretive Circle; 2 p.m., “Geocaching 101” – a new way to treasure hunt, $3 per person, $8 per family; 5 p.m., “Archery 101” – meet near the Cedar Crest Conference Center on the new archery range, learn the basics of archery safety and technique and play a fun aiming game, parking limited, children 8+, parental supervision for children under 12 required, closed toe shoes required for all archers;

Sunday, July 14, 11 a.m., “Canoeing 101” – learn the ins and outs of canoeing, fee for the program is $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+.
