Peggy Hardiman Carter, 88 of Fayetteville, North Carolina, formerly of Dillwyn, passed away on Monday, Feb. 3. She was born on Oct. 21, 1936 to the late William E. and Caroline Hardiman.
She is survived by her sons, Brad Carter (Jocelyn), Edward Carter, Brandon Carter and Bevan Carter (Natalie); daughter, Emlyn Gendron; and grandchildren, Kellyn Davis (Brandon), Lilly Carter and Nathan Carter.
Peggy loved to paint and was a longtime member of the Fayetteville Art Guild. She loved spending time with family and going to the beach.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Pankey.
The funeral will be held at noon at White Hall Church in Dillwyn on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m and interment will follow in Dillwyn Town Cemetery.
