Jennifer Lee Stoots Gunter, 57, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Feb. 23. She was born the daughter of Rev. Gary and Diana Stoots of Prospect. Preceded in death by her father, Gary Lee Stoots and ex-husband, Christopher Garris.
She is survived by her mother, Diana Stoots of Prospect; brother, Gary Lee Stoots II (Cindie) of Charlotte Court House; two sons, Christopher Lee Garris of Farmville and Dustin Gunter of Prospect; grandchildren, Emma, Ava and Kayden all of Farmville; nephew, Blake Stoots of Charlotte Court House and a niece, Brooke Moore (Eli) of Appomattox. Also survived by Garland Gunter of Prospect; three step-children, Brandy Morgan (Travis) and Joshua Gunter (Alexis) of Concord and Blake Gunter of Appomattox and six step-grandchildren, Jaycie, Camden, Cheyanne, Berkley, Blakely and Brantley.
She worked at Key Office Supply for 13 years. She taught at Prospect Christian Academy for 16 years and later became a teller at Citizen Bank and Trust. Jennifer was a faithful member of Prospect Gospel Tabernacle. She was dedicated to using her talent to sing and play the piano for the Lord. She was used to be a blessing in her songs and personal testimony.
Services will be held at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle, 4307 West Prince Edward Prospect, VA at 3:00pm on Saturday March 1. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. The burial will be at the church cemetery.
