Lynn Roy Laury Jr., 61 of Buckingham, passed away Feb. 8. Memorial service was held on Friday, Feb. 14, noon, at the Chapel of Reid’s Funeral Home. Reid’s Funeral Home of Dillwyn served the family.

Deacon Eddie Chaffin Sr., 96 of Burkeville, passed away Feb. 12. Funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 17, 11 a.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Victoria. Interment was in the church cemetery. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family.

Ruby Deloris Bowler, 67 of Burkeville, passed away Feb. 9. Funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 17, 1 p.m., at the Chapel of Bland-Reid Funeral Home. Interment was in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Rice. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family.

Betty Lee Spillman Young, 97 of Harrisonburg, passed away Feb. 11, at Sunnyside Retirement Community. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 7, in the Meredith Chapel at Sunnyside Retirement Community. Arrangements are with Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
