Deaconess Dorothy Booker Peaks, 88 of Dillwyn, passed away Jan. 5. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1 p.m., at Second Liberty Baptist Church, Dillwyn. Interment was in the church cemetery. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family.

Dale M. Wright, 82 of Buckingham, passed peacefully on Jan. 13. Visitation was held on Jan. 16 at Dunkum Funeral Home. Funeral will be Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, Gladstone with burial in Gretna. Dunkum Funeral Home is serving the family.

Anthony Rufus Austin, 62 of Dillwyn, passed away Jan. 10. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, noon, at Morning Valley Baptist Church, Dillwyn. Interment will be in the Austin Family Cemetery, Dillwyn. Reid’s Funeral of Dillwyn is serving the family.

Arnita Lisette Johnson, 56 of Rice, passed away Jan. 6. Funeral service will be on Saturday, Jan. 18, noon, at New Life Church, Farmville. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville is serving the family.

Mary Jane Scott, 71 of Farmville, passed away Jan. 8. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 3 p.m., at Sharon Baptist Church, Cumberland. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville is serving the family.
