The Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office was busy at the end of last week, coordinating a two-day operation. Multiple Buckingham County search warrants were executed at homes located on S. Constitution Road, Hundley Branch Road, Axtell Road and Johnson Station Road on Thursday, Jan. 23 and Friday, Jan. 24.
“We recovered multiple narcotics including methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl pressed pills/powder and marijuana,” Buckingham County Sheriff Billy Kidd said in a statement. “We also located numerous firearms and large amounts of cash. Days like these make us grateful that we are able to take a portion of narcotics out of our county.”
Also seized in the investigation was $27,000 in cash, five pounds of marijuana, 13 firearms, nine grams of fentanyl powder, 530 pressed pills of fentanyl, 6.3 ounces of cocaine and 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine. Kidd said he was glad to get those drugs off the street.
“This also gives us motivation to help us continue to do the job not only because we love to do it, but for our great citizens,” Kidd said.
Two arrests have been made in the case, Kidd said, with those individuals currently being processed. Another three arrests are pending. Kidd also told The Herald the investigation was ongoing.
