Sheriff’s Office investigates robbery near Dowdys Corner

Deputies with the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office are searching for evidence as to who robbed a convenience store in the area on Sunday. The robbery took place at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Pump and Pantry. It’s located at 3810 W. Third Street. 

The suspect, described as a heavy-set black male wearing a mask and walking with a limp, stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Deputies said the suspect was a passenger and fled the scene in a white SUV heading west towards Dowdys Corner. The Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office and Crimesolvers are seeking information about the robbery and can be contacted at 434-392-8101 and 434-392-3400, respectively. The Farmville Police Department is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
