Adam Brazil scored a game-high 30 points, but No. 23 Hampden-Sydney College fell just short in the championship game of the Tip-Off Tournament this weekend.

The Tigers lost 81-78 to Gettysburg (PA) College on Saturday afternoon at Kirby Field House. Junior transfer guard and team captain Colin Radcliffe added 13 points off the bench for the host Tigers. The visitors used a late 7-1 run to take control and secure their road victory. With the loss, Hampden-Sydney drops to 4-1, while Gettysburg improves to 7-0.

“Congrats to Gettysburg, I thought they played well and hit some big shots tonight,” said Tigers Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough. “We are learning a lot about our team in this phase of the season. We have a really talented group that is just scratching the surface of what they can do this year. Tests like this certainly prepare us for league play.”
