The Vice Presidential debate is in the books and the clear winner in my opinion was Senator JD Vance. Vance articulated his message well, even winning over critics in the media. He navigated the questions well especially with the hot button issues. Vance established himself polished and ready to be Vice President. Judging by the body language of Tim Walz, he knew Vance did well, even if he doesn’t want to admit it.

Vance answered very well on topics like the economy and abortion. Walz just brought up the typical boogeyman “Project 2025”, which the campaign has distanced itself from but of course the Moderators didn’t push back on it, similar to the ABC Presidential debate. Despite that, Vance stayed on message and had substance which is crucial for the undecided voter, though I’m not sure how many are actually undecided at this point but with that being said, I’m sure Vance won over the few that remain.

The “instant” poll that CNN ran even had Vance winning by a couple which means in reality, it was a landslide. Some of the MSM commentators even said he did well after saying for weeks and months that Vance would hurt the ticket because of some cat lady joke. If anything, Vance has strengthened it more and even before the debate recent left leaning polls like Quinnipiac have showed Trump gaining momentum again.
