Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Robert Eugene Williams Robert Eugene Williams was born on Dec. 20, 1952, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is the son of Clarence J. Williams and Ida C. Williams. Robert fell asleep in death on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 at the Memorial Regional Medical Center in Richmond. He was married to Susan, wife of 39 years.

Robert received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Saint Paul’s College in May 2001 and a Master of Arts Degree in K-12 Instruction from Central Michigan University in December 2003. He was a special education teacher at Prince Edward County High School, J. S. Russell Junior High School in Brunswick County, Cumberland County Middle School and Lunenburg County High School. Robert loved his students and was dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children. He served as a role model for many children. Robert retired from Lunenburg County Public Schools in June 2017.

Robert symbolized his dedication to Jehovah on Feb. 24, 1968. He was intelligent, very kind and compassionate in helping others in any way he could. With fond memory, he recalled a scavenger hunt that he enjoyed with the congregation.

Spiritually, Robert was very concerned about serving others. This moved him to serve at the World Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses, it also moved him to help others learn about his Heavenly Father, Jehovah.

One of his favorite scriptures was Proverbs 25:11. There it states, “like apples of gold in silver carvings is a word spoken at the right time.” He always seemed to know what to say and how to express it in a way to benefit others. What we will all miss about him was his loving friendship and his sense of humor. He found great joy in serving others. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.
