Oscar William Smith, age 73 was born in Farmville on Feb. 17, 1951 to Frances and “Winkie” Smith, and died on July 23.
Oscar was currently residing in Las Vegas. Oscar was a talented musician, proficient in playing the woodwind instruments, especially the saxophone, clarinet, flute, and piccolo. He was a graduate of East Carolina University School of Music with his masters degree from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.
