Erna Clements Daye, 92 of Rice, passed away peacefully on her birthday, Aug. 12. She was born on Aug. 12, 1932 to the late Clyde and Flora Franklin White. 

Her favorite things were gardening, growing flowers, scrapbooking, crafting and bird watching. She enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Clements and her second husband, V. Ray Daye. 

She is survived by her two children, Connie (Monte) Biggs and Larry (Lynn) Clements; four grandsons, Kendall, Chris, Wade and Brad; as well as four great grandchildren.

The family held visitation on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 6 – 8 p.m., at Puckett Funeral Home 115 Covington Court, Farmville, VA 23901. The funeral service was held on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
