Nathalie Almond Ripley, 91 of Buckingham, passed peacefully on June 4. She was born Sept. 8, 1932 in Appomattox County to Joseph and Mary Almond.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd G. Ripley; son Gordon N. Ripley (Ann); daughter, Roma R. Morris (Larry) and grandchildren, Ashley Ripley, Victoria Harris (Steven) and Libby Bowman (Daniel). She also has three great- grandchildren, Jackson Harris, Teghan Harris and Brinkley Bowman.
Nathalie was predeceased by four brothers, Kenneth Dewitt Almond, Dyer T. Almond, Carroll R. Almond and J.P. Almond and one sister, Phyllis A McCormick. Surviving brother is Larry Wayne Almond of Evington.
Nathalie graduated from Appomattox County High School and worked at Courtland Manufacturing for 50 years. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, where she served on several committees and sang in the choir. She was one of the best southern cooks and could put together a meal for several in a snap. She loved to experiment with new recipes, particularly desserts. She also loved her flowers and garden.
A graveside funeral service was held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery in Buckingham Courthouse.
Dunkum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
