The spring semester is over and now is the time when colleges and universities send out notices, recognizing students for their effort during the year. We have several Farmville students in this latest round of recognitions, honored for their work in the classroom.
The College of William and Mary recognized Evelyn Weese for her work during the spring 2024 semester. The Farmville resident made the Dean’s List at the school. In order to achieve that, a full-time student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 quality point average during the semester.
Farmville’s Catherine Rutherford was honored by the College of Charleston, as she made the President’s List for the Spring 2024 semester. Rutherford is majoring in English at the college. To qualify for the President’s List, a student must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.
We have one more President’s List member to highlight, this time at Georgia Southern University. The school recognized Farmville’s Christina Jones for her work during the spring 2024 semester. To be eligible for the President’s List at Georgia Southern, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Mattison Kinne, meanwhile, was recently named to the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference spring All-Academic Team for baseball. The recognition honors sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Kinne, a rising senior majoring in physics, is a graduate of Prince Edward County High School.
