A little bit earlier this week, you might have noticed a detour sign set up near parts of Route 608 (Elcan Road). The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has shut down sections of the road in order to do some pipe replacement.

The road closing affects the portion near the Little Willis River, which is closed due to a mainline pipe replacement. VDOT officials closed the road from the intersection with Route 636 (Francisco Road) to the intersection with Route 635 (Buckingham Springs Road). Barring any major storms, it’ll reopen on Wednesday, May 29.
