Dear Editor,
I am confused by the meals tax and the proposed “solution” to payments not being received on time. If payments are not received by the 20th of the second month, the business gets a letter reminding them to pay? Why is that? If I don’t pay my taxes by the due date I get a penalty, not waiting a month, no nice letter reminding me to pay.
If the taxes are not paid by the 20th of the month, then there should be an immediate penalty. No grace period. Yes we want to have successful thriving businesses in Farmville, however those businesses have to play by the same rules as everyone else. Pay your taxes on time or face the immediate penalty.
