Members of the Cumberland High Future Farmers of America (FFA) brought home several Top Five trophies from the Piedmont Junior Area Livestock Show. 

Held in Blackstone this past Saturday, the show saw five Cumberland High FFA members show livestock in several classes. 

“They finished with respectable spots and their hard work raising these animals over the past several months showed,” FFA Advisor Josh Fleenor said. 

Kaitlynne Kelsey finished third in her showmanship class and third in her heifer’s weight division. John Bowman finished third in his showmanship and second in his heifer’s weight class. William Fleenor finished second in his showmanship class and third in his heifer’s weight class. Kelly Womack finished second in her showmanship class and second in her heifer’s weight class. Brent Siegel finished first in both of his classes with one market lamb and finished second in his showmanship class and first in his market class with his second lamb. Brent also went on to have the grand and reserve grand champion market lamb.
