Nellie Gray Poe Moss, 87 of Dillwyn, went to her Heavenly Home on April 27. She was born on March 6, 1937, to William Ernest Poe and Naomi Maxey Reynolds Poe. She was preceded in death by her baby boy; grandson, John Jeffers; brothers and daughters-in-law, Clarence Poe, Jack Poe, James Poe (Francis), Sydney Poe (Alta) and Roy Reynolds (Esther); sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Davis (George) and brother-in-law, Harrison Shumaker. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Moss; her daughter, Jacqueline Jeffers (John); sister, Gladys Shumaker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Poe; granddaughters, Sherrie Zuraski (James), Jessie Troyer (David) and Brittany Campbell (Ehab) and great grandchildren, Asher and Gracelynn Troyer; Adrianna and Nolan Campbell. 

Nellie and Gordon were happily married for 63 years. Nellie loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible and prayer journaling. She prayed for the community as well as family and friends. She loved her red nail polish and having her hair done with a perm. She loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren as they grew up. She will be greatly missed by many. There was surely a reunion in heaven. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at 2 p.m., at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment to follow in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery. Family received friends on Tuesday, April 30, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
