Members of the Cumberland County Public Schools Wrestling Team were recognized by the County School Board at the meeting held on March 7. The team, coached by Mr. Ryan Bates, was composed of Archie Angle, Caper Angle, Michael Fields, Gavin Gonzales, Dion Pittman, Kimball Pittman, Erick Smith, Abigail Winslow, and Kody Wolfe. It was a successful year for the year, including Dion, who placed fourth at the state competition and Kimball, who came in sixth. Dion also earned the Region 1B Wrestler of the Year Award, while Kimball and Michael Fields both were named Region 1B Champions. Pictured on the front row is Erick Smith.
