Dear Editor, 

I would like to share that we are in opposition to the proposed Solar Field on Old Ridge Road. Please let me state that we are not opposed to Solar, but absolutely not in a residential area. 

My husband and I retired and moved here from Northern Virginia in 2021 to be closer to our children and grandchildren. We built and moved into our dream retirement home in June 2022 on old Ridge Road with 19 other new homes in this Rock River Estates. 

We are devastated that this would be ruined by a Solar Field and the proposed entrance is directly across from our new home. We are also concerned with the devaluation of property, habitat/environmental destruction, and the unknown health risks. 

We recommend Prince Edward county move this field to a less inhabited location, not in our growing community on Old Ridge Road.
