Several Prince Edward County Middle School students are now published writers. A number of students have been featured in the Young Writers USA creative publication “Hunted.” According to the Young Writers USA staff, “Hunted” was set up as a writing prompt. Students had 100 words to set up their own thriller, inspired by one of eight story starters. They could interpret the text in any way, use any time period or narrative techniques, with winners selected from schools participating across the country.
