Alma Yvonne Watkins Walker, 81 of Washington D.C., formerly of Prince Edward County, passed away Jan. 26. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, at noon, at Triumph Baptist Church, Darlington Heights. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville is serving the family. 

John Addeberry White Jr., 79 of Welcome, Maryland, formerly of Buckingham County, passed away Jan. 29. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb.10, at noon, at Baptist Union Baptist Church, Dillwyn. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Reid’s Funeral Home of Dillwyn is serving the family.
