Mariachi Internacional will visit Farmville, perform at Longwood

The Longwood University (LU) Chamber Music Series will present a free concert by Mariachi Internacional de Pittsburgh on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. in Molnar Recital Hall of Wygal Music Building. Parking for the event is available along Race Street, beside Greenwood Library and Bedford Hall.
Mariachi Internacional de Pittsburgh is an ensemble of professional musicians from Latin America and the U.S. who share a passion for music and their Latino roots and want to be ambassadors of the Latin community in the area while delivering happiness and joy.
Mariachi Internacional has performed in several music festivals such as the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival, PGH Taco Fest, Immersive Frida Kahlo launching event, Latin American Cultural Center opening exhibition, and Azure Family concert series among many others. In addition to concerts, the band is committed to education through music and has performed international showcases at universities around the region such as Penn State, Seton Hill, and Carnegie Mellon University.
Mariachi Internacional was awarded the 2022-2023 Allegheny Arts Revival Grant from the Pittsburgh Arts Council and created an educational concert series that was presented around the Greater Pittsburgh Area. The 2024 season highlights will include concerts for the Latin American Community Center in Pittsburgh PA and a Mariachi Clinic for the students of the Hispanic Honorary Society in the Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville PA.
