There’s a lot of closings & delays to talk about. All school districts in the area will be closed Tuesday, thanks to Old Man Winter’s latest visit. But beyond that, even though libraries and health departments will be open, the doors will unlock much later than usual. The same goes for local courts, social services and some other operations. 

Here’s a look at what we know, as of now, for Tuesday closings & delays. As anything changes or if we get more announcements in, we’ll be updating this list. 

Buckingham 

• Buckingham County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday
• Buckingham County Public Library will open at noon Tuesday 
• Buckingham County Administration will open on 2-hour delay 
• Buckingham County Electoral Board meeting will be delayed until 10:30am 
• Buckingham County Health Department will open on 2-hour delay
• Buckingham County Social Services will open on 2-hour delay  
• CVHS Health Services in New Canton will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 
• Pinos Italian Grille in Dillwyn will be closed Tuesday 
• Troublesome Creek Medicine will open at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday

Cumberland 

• Cumberland County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday
• Cumberland County Administration will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 
• Cumberland County Public Library will open at noon Tuesday 
• Cumberland Health Department will open on 2-hour delay 
• Cumberland Board of Supervisors meeting set for 7 p.m. 
• Cumberland Coffee Company will be closed on Tuesday 

Prince Edward 

• Prince Edward County Schools will be closed Tuesday
• Prince Edward County Courthouse will open at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday 
• Prince Edward County offices will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 
• Prince Edward Circuit Court will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 
• Prince Edward General District Court will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 
• Prince Edward County Landfill will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday 
• Prince Edward County Convenience Centers will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday 

Farmville 

• Farmville/Prince Edward Library will open at noon on Tuesday 
• Fuqua School will be closed on Tuesday  
• Farmville/Prince Edward Historical Society meeting canceled 
• Crossroads CSB will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday
• Farmville PACE will be closed Tuesday 
• Longwood Center for the Visual Arts will be closed Tuesday

Longwood

• Longwood University campus will be closed on Tuesday.
• Longwood Upchurch University Center will open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Greenwood Library will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Health & Fitness Center: The Pierson Hall Fitness Center will be closed for the day. All scheduled programs will be either canceled or postponed.
• Longwood University Health Center: Closed
• Longwood’s Wygal Hall: Open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
