Henry Lee Foster Sr., 88 of Farmville, passed away on Jan. 1. He was born in Farmville to the late Henry A. Foster and Daisy Hines Foster. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Micer Foster, and his son, Henry “Hank” L. Foster Jr. 

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce A. Foster, of King William and his sister, Elizabeth Foster Townsend, of Buckingham. 

He was a veteran who served in the Air Force from 1958-1962. 

A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m., in Westview Cemetery in Farmville. Visitation was on Friday, Jan. 5, from 12-1:30 p.m., at Shorter Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside SPCA, PO Box 66, Meherrin, VA 23954.
