Not everything was rained out this past weekend. Pamplin City held a series of Christmas events on Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 9 a.m. with a Christmas Market at the Pamplin Depot. Santa Claus was around to take pictures, along with The Grinch and Cindy Lou Hoo.

There were also crafts projects for children to do, along with antique cars on display and multiple vendors at the market. A bit later, beginning at 10 a.m., the Pamplin City Christmas Parade started at the old Pamplin Elementary School on Church Street. The parade looped Main Street and then returned to the school.
