The Farmville Police Department is asking for help from residents to solve a theft that took place last week on South Main Street.
Around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, the police department responded to an alarm call at an unnamed business on South Main Street. At the scene, it was discovered that three suspects cut their way into the rear door of the building. The suspects, who were caught on camera in matching jumpsuits, took prescription narcotics and left the scene on foot.
According to Sam Bowles, spokesman for the police department, officers are still doing what they can to find these suspects. He added that the department is currently reaching out to neighboring areas to see if they have experienced anything similar.
“The department is actively working to close this case as this case is still actively under investigation,” said Bowles. “We will hopefully have an update soon.”
Anyone who may have information on the identity of the subjects or has experienced a similar crime are encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Ragland at 434-392-9259.
