Dennis was born to the late Pauline and Earl Newton of New Canton, Buckingham County and was brother to Juanita Hill, Charles Newton, Bobby Newton, Christine Dunivan, Peggy Gough, Barbara Smith and Margie Childress and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was a loving and caring man to wife Karin and father to Joe Mulholland, Michael Dender (Andria) and Karyn Orth (Jeff). For the last 17 years, granddaughter Lily Dender was his shining light!

Dennis was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, a hard worker who liked to stay busy and would help anyone who asked. He enjoyed being with people, working on his boat, going camping and loved fishing.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

All family, friends and co-workers are invited for a gathering to celebrate Dennis’ life and share any memories on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 1:30 to 4 p.m., at The American Legion VFW Post #215, 3386 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063.
