When will Centra Medical Group’s Buckingham clinic be open and who will it serve? After the project’s open house earlier this month, those were two of the questions raised. 

As we’ve mentioned before, the clinic, located at 65 Brickyard Drive, Dillwyn, will be staffed by a physician and a nurse practitioner. 

The CMG Buckingham clinic has four exam rooms, one procedure room, lab, and x-ray services. Dr. Micah Brickhill-Atkinson, a native of Buckingham, is a graduate of UVA and UVA Medical School. Upon completion of her residency at UVA, she will start practicing at the clinic in June 2024. 

Leah Shirey, Nurse Practitioner, is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, and currently resides in Scottsville. Leah brings over 15 years of experience to the practice. 

The new clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering comprehensive medical care to patients of all genders and ages. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 434- 414-1021.
